SCARPA tells its story: No Place Too Far

There is a silence that only the mountains know: the wind weaving through the rocks, the soft crunch of snow beneath each step, the rhythm of a heart beating stronger with every ascent. It is within this silence that SCARPA’s stories are born—present in every adventure as an invisible companion on the boldest journeys, guardian of stories and footprints that cross time. Guardian of dreams. Guardian of traces. Guardian of verticality.

In 1956, the Parisotto family took over a small workshop in Asolo. Francesco, Luigi, and Antonio grew up among shoemaker’s lasts and wooden tools, transforming that space into a place where passion and technique met—where nature and culture converged.

From the very beginning, every step taken by SCARPA has left an indelible mark on the history of mountaineering and ski mountaineering, always guided by a simple principle: No Place Too Far.
This is not merely a promise of conquest or a challenge to the most impervious mountains; it is a subtle invitation to follow your own footsteps, to not be afraid of venturing into unexplored territories—both outside and within yourself.

Every step, even the smallest one, is a journey: toward a hidden summit, a new thought, an unexpected emotion.

No Place Too Far” is therefore an invisible thread between emotion and technique—a poetry made of tangible passages, personal discoveries, and footprints left both in the world and within us.

The history of SCARPA can be read through its iconic models, each one the result of innovation and passion.

SCARPA's history made throught its iconic products

In 1968 SCARPA introduced Cortina: a ski boot with a solid, traditional construction, featuring a thick sole, a waterproofed leather upper, and metal buckles. Today it may look almost playful, yet this was how people skied at the time.

In 1984 came RALLY, a ski mountaineering boot no longer made of leather but plastic—a revolutionary concept for those years.

1998 marked the arrival of LASER, an innovative ski mountaineering boot that was light and stable for its time, in pursuit of the perfect crystal.

In 2001, F1 was launched, destined to revolutionize ski mountaineering. The soft flex zone in the shell allowed for natural movement while climbing. Ski mountaineers still remember the difference: reduced fatigue, freedom of movement, the feeling of being “in harmony” with the mountain. F1 proved that SCARPA’s innovation is always born from real needs and a deep understanding of the mountains.

In 2011, ALIEN 1.0 technology conquered World Cup athletes—a ski mountaineering boot weighing just 890 grams.

SCARPA doesn’t create mere travel companions, but guardians of dreams and stories. Each model is a chapter in a journey spanning more than 80 years. And wherever you go, from the highest peaks to the most hidden trails, SCARPA walks with you, reminding you that no place is ever too far.
