Born in Kranj, in the heart of the Slovenian Alps, Bine Žalohar discovered the mountains and adrenaline with a unique approach: first as a snowboard rider, then as a freestyle athlete, and later as a guide, filmmaker, and all-around sportsman. His contagious energy, passion for extreme skiing, and love for surfing and freedom have made him a charismatic and genuine presence in the international outdoor scene.
After years of high-level competition in freestyle — across slopestyle, big air, half-pipe, and freeride — where he collected seven national titles and a prestigious victory at the ASP Big Air “One Hit Wonder” in Australia, he decided to step away from the competitive circuit. For him, the limits of competition were restrictive: today he prefers to express himself through creativity, freedom, and the promotion of extreme sports through film and media.
Bine has traveled the world in search of untouched lines, telling stories of ascents, descents, and exploration. Among his boldest memories are a 23-meter cliff jump in Brseč, extreme skiing above Argentier (Chamonix), a 1260° backflip at 31 meters in Thredbo, descents from the icy slopes of Mount Elbrus (5,642 m), and surfing under 2-meter waves in Nias — feats that showcase his creativity, skill, and uncompromising boldness.
