Biography
I was born and raised in Murray, Utah, about 15 minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City. I grew up playing everything from football to 4 square, but most of all soccer. When I was 9 I found climbing at an indoor gym and pretty much immediately joined the competition team. By the time I was 11, it was my sole athletic focus. By the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to be a professional climber. After a year at University, I dropped out to pursue the chance of my dream career.
It’s been about 4 years since then. Competition and outdoor climbing have taken me to many different places and taught me more than I can absorb. International competition is my motivation, and I’m incredibly excited to be able to compete at the Olympics in 2020. Outdoor climbing is a world I’ve still only tasted, but I can’t wait to explore it more when the time is right.
