Mountaineering - France

Charles Dubouloz

It’s not on the bouldering gym mat where you need to be good.

Charles on his winter Rolling Stone solo ascent on Les Grandes Jorasses

Charles Dubouloz was born on May 18, 1989, in Besançon and today lives near Lake
Annecy, France. For more than half of his life — since the age of 15 — he has devoted his time and energy to the mountains, exploring them through alpinism
and climbing.

What he loves most is the variety these environments offer: rock, ice, snow. Each
element brings unique sensations and challenges. His path began in ski mountaineering and gradually evolved into technical alpinism, where he found his true dimension: hard winter ascents, big walls, and alpine style.

His career is filled with adventures across the world, but also with deep bonds built with climbing partners and a community of mountain lovers who share the same values. For Charles, every climb is a new adventure, a way to test himself and push
beyond his limits.
