Jongwon Chon is a leading athlete of the South Korean national sport climbing team. He discovered his passion for climbing in 2010, encouraged by his parents in Seoul. From his first steps on the wall, he fully dedicated himself to the sport, facing every challenge with focus and determination.

He made his senior international debut in the IFSC World Cup 2014 in Chongqing, China, and won his first World Cup medal in 2015. Since then, he has triumphed in numerous World Cup stages in China, Italy, Austria, and the United States. Among his top achievements: gold in the combined event at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, silver at the 2018 IFSC World Championships, and several overall World Cup titles.

Standing 178 cm tall with a wingspan of 183 cm, he trains and competes wearing SCARPA Drago XT and Drago shoes. Outside the wall, he enjoys American hip-hop and considers full rest essential to recharge his energy.

Proud of his collaboration with SCARPA, Jongwon continues to push his limits and deliver top-level performance in every competition.
