Born in Madrid, Jorge Díaz-Rullo is considered one of the greatest rising stars in international sport climbing. Trained at the Spanish Centros de Tecnificación, he built his technical and mental foundations under the guidance of Andrea Cartas, developing a comprehensive approach that combines preparation, strategy, and strong inner resolve.
2020 marked his definitive breakthrough: with the ascent of La Planta de Shiva (9b), Jorge entered the absolute elite of world climbing. This achievement was quickly followed by other extraordinary milestones, including the repeat of Biographie (9a+) and the first ascents of iconic routes in Rodellar.
For Jorge, climbing is much more than a sport: it is a balance between instinct and method, between meticulous study and trust in one’s own sensations. This approach makes him a unique athlete, capable of constantly pushing beyond his limits. He is currently engaged in one of the most ambitious projects of his career: the first repeat of Café Colombia (9c), a route that could write a new page in climbing history.
Collaboration with SCARPA is a natural step: he shares with the brand the same passion for evolution and pursuit of excellence. His favorite model is the Chimera, which provides the precision and sensitivity needed to tackle the most extreme moves.
