Ski Mountaineering - Switzerland

Marianne Fatton

Ski Mountaineering as a Vocation

Marianne Fatton SCARPA Ski Mountaineering ambassador

Marianne Fatton was born in 1995 and lives in Switzerland. With a Czech mother, an
Olympian in Albertville, and a Swiss father, a former European junior champion in mountain running, she carries dual nationality and a strong sporting heritage. Growing up with two brothers in a family where sport was a daily routine, she quickly learned to keep up with demanding rhythms, strengthening her mindset and discovering the importance of never giving up.

It was with her parents that she first fell in love with the mountains, a place of training and joy in spectacular landscapes. Marianne loves climbing the highest peaks and skiing down steep couloirs: adrenaline is essential for her. Initially not
very competitive, she began racing lightly, but early successes soon convinced
her she could aim high.

Alongside her athletic career, she graduated in Communication and Management,
specializing in marketing, preparing for a future beyond elite sport. What fascinates her is not just the stopwatch, but the extraordinary ability of the human body topush its own limits. She loves to feel fit and strong, not only for medals but to enjoy the long mountain tours that embody her sense of freedom.
