Nikolai Schirmer was born on February 1, 1991, in Tromsø, in the heart of the Arctic
Circle. Raised among fjords and mountains where winter seems endless, he developed from a young age a deep bond with snow and the untamed nature that
surrounded him.

Driven by curiosity and the desire to explore ever-new lines, Nikolai turned his passion for freeride skiing into a profession that combines athletic performance and
creativity. His talent goes beyond extreme descents: he is also a filmmaker and storyteller, able to visually shape the emotions and landscapes the mountains have to offer.

Throughout his career, he has created projects that have redefined the boundaries of modern freeride, bringing his adventures beyond snowy peaks to international
film festivals. Groundbreaking descents, award-winning films, and an approach that blends sustainability, aesthetic research, and a spirit of adventure make him one of the most authentic and innovative voices in today’s outdoor scene.
