All SCARPA footwear uses Europeansizing, except for the skiing boots.

  •  1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
  • 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
  • Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use

For climbing shoes, the choice of downsizing (1 size) depends on the desired fit. In other shoes, you need a gap between the toes and the front of the toe box, which is necessary for walking. In climbing shoes, it is preferable to eliminate gaps, to increase sensitivity and precision when climbing.

All SCARPA's ski mountaineering and telemark skiing boots ski measured in Mondo sizing. SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each ½ size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size. Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

GAITER

8000 GAITER

The wide gaiter, with an adjustable closure, is made of S-TECH Schoeller, a material made from renewable raw materials, PFC-free, and Bluesign™ certified.
It is waterproof thanks to the YKK® zipper and the heat-sealed reflective tape, which provide protection.

THERMIC SYSTEM

The integrated heating system in the gaiter and insole, weighing 160 g, includes a power switch with three operating modes (16 hours, 8 hours, and 4 hours), two power banks with connector and charging cable to be placed in the dedicated pocket, and an additional pair of heated insoles covered in microfiber to enhance comfort and durability.

LACING

The external closure features a water-repellent zip with a heat-sealed tape. The internal closure is based on the Fast Lock System, an advanced toe lacing configuration divided into two sections. The lower section, equipped with eyelets, enables quick lace sliding and precise volume adjustment. The locking slider secures the fit and separates the two tension zones of the lacing. The upper section includes two eyelets designed to wrap around the ankle, ensuring stability without restricting the foot's natural range of motion. The Velcro Fast Strap simplifies opening and closing of the shell, ensuring precise adjustment and optimal support.

SHELL

Shell 8000

The shell is made up of several layers: a water-repellent microfiber layer with high tensile strength and mechanical resistance, composed of 50% pre-consumer recycled nylon and 50% PU; a layer of felt and aluminum combined with WinTherm, made of 80% recycled PET, to provide effective active thermal insulation; and finally, a layer of micropile with EVA and cork.
A PVC structure forms a special EXOSKELETON that enhances protection, support, and foot containment, while integrating with the lacing system.
The RECCO® reflector, positioned on the upper edge of the right boot, allows for traceability in case of emergency.

SOLE

Gravity Lite, made of Newflex to ensure maximum lightness, features a climbing rubber insert at the toe. Compatible with automatic crampons.

INSOLE

Carbon Tech 3 SL is composed of three layers: perforated EVA for optimal comfort, Aerogel® for excellent thermal insulation, and carbon fiber to provide stability and lightness.

REMOVABLE LINER

ALTITUDE V 8000

ALTITUDE 8000 is a removable liner composed of multiple layers that provide maximum thermal insulation with minimal bulk. Double straps facilitate putting it on, while the Velcro closure ensures a secure fit.
The elastic outer material guarantees a snug fit, and the Reflex tape enhances visibility.
The insulating and durable sole allows comfortable walking inside the tent or at the base camp.

SockFit XT

Scarpa reinterprets the concept of functionality, agility and comfort by creating innovative construction systems that wrap the foot like a sock, offering the feeling of being at one with their footwear.
